This new year 2022 and onwards, I have resolved to completely "let go and let God", by continuously learning to walk with Him all the way (Deuteronomy 8:6). I believe that everything in my life happens for a reason. Every circumstance in my life, good or bad, is actually working out for my good and the good of those around me. Trust me, I speak from experience; when you let go of worrying about how things are working out for you, you will discover an amazing sense of peace and contentment that is hard to describe. When you are walking with God, you will suddenly realize that there is no such thing as bad luck or coincidence, because all things work together for your good (Romans 8:28).
How do you know when you are walking with God?. Well, one sign of walking with God is your total confidence in His ability to take care of you even in the midst of impossible situations. When things are tough and murky, those who are true "one with God" can say without hesitation, "God will take care of me."
To walk with God is to have the mind of Christ. It's to think as He thinks, to feel as He feels, to act as He acts. In other words, it's to have TOTAL CONFIDENCE in God... and His ability... to take care of you when things go extremely bad; when even your most trusted allies blame you for your calamities and there is no one to turn to; then you suddenly realize that He is the only True Friend, the One that never fails you or disappoint you (Joshua 21:45)
Walking with God implies that you will always reach your destination. But, getting to that destination involves a learning process. And, one of the most important elements of that learning process is to learn to rely on God and not on man. After all, if you are relying on man, then it is only a matter of time before you suffer a severe setback. But, if you are relying on God, then He will take care of you every step of the way.
It is important to be committed to walking with God in a personal relationship with Him, otherwise, you are just like everyone else... walking around with your head in the sand... thinking that somehow, "being good" and "going to church" will make everything all right. These are very important things, but you are not yet there until you have that personal relationship in walking with Him. In my opinion, there is no greater element of true happiness than to have a deep and abiding relationship with God. And, if you desire this kind of relationship, then the first step is to learn to rely on God... instead of... man.
